Manuela Santos JohnsonSharon Renae BeckRoy D. White Jr. (Dave) Longtime Quincy resident Manuela Santos Johnson passed from this life peacefully, with her family at her side, under the compassionate care of the staff at Country Villa located in Quincy, Thursday evening, January 23, 2014.Born in Sacramento, July 4, 1934, to the late Elmer and Julia (Pattee) Paddock she and her family moved to Quincy shortly following her birth. Manuela was raised and educated in Quincy where she attended school in the old Pioneer School one-room schoolhouse.First and foremost a dedicated mother, her passion in her later life was that of caring and loving her grandchildren. She had a great love of horses also. Manuela was raised in the LDS faith.In passing Manuela leaves her children: Donnie Johnson and his wife Cherri, Henry “Sonny” Johnson, Robert Allen Knight, Brenda McRae and her husband Eric, Joan Orenstein, Charlotte Plaster and her husband Bert, Pamela Johnson, all of Quincy, and Becky Johnson, of Susanville; along with the precious jewels of her later life, her 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.Manuela joins her children, Prudence, Sarah, Bert and Harold, and sister Mary Ellen in their eternal home.A private family celebration of Manuela’s life will take place at a later date. Her remains will be scattered on the family ranch following cremation at Fehrman Crematory-Quincy.   Sharon Renae Beck peacefully passed away in the arms of her loving husband on Jan. 25, 2014, at her home in Quincy.Born Nov. 14, 1945, to William Henry and Patricia LaRue Bishop in Berkeley, she married her husband Herbert at Woody’s Hot Springs on June 6, 1998.Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed camping with her husband and sister; she enjoyed the outdoors and was always open to new adventures.In passing she leaves behind her husband of sixteen years, Herbert, sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Rod Mercer, father William Bishop, daughters Kimberly, Stacie and Brooke, son Robert, stepchildren Brian and Amber, grandsons Stephen, Jordan, Driu, Levi and Joseph, granddaughter Jessica, numerous nieces, nephews and friends, along with her pets LouLou, Baby Girl, and Shamrock.Sharon is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Patricia and Kenneth, along with grandson Joshua.A Celebration of her Life along with a potluck will take place at noon until dusk Saturday, March 15, at Pioneer Park in Quincy.Sharon only passed on to a new voyage. She will be with me in my heart forever. We had a lifetime of good times camping, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. Sharon is and always will be the shining star in my heart. When I see stars in the sky she will always shine in my heart. When I see rivers and nature, the beauty of God’s earth and all the animals we both love, she will be in my heart forever until we meet again in the happy campgrounds of Heaven.The family asks that any remembrances in Sharon’s memory be made to Herbert Beck, P.O. White Jr. (Dave), 47, born Monday, Jan. 9, 1967, passed from this life Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Loyalton. He was predeceased by his parents Roy D. White Sr. and Betty White and brother Steve White.  Dave is survived by son Roy D. White III, of Loyalton, brothers Larry (Sandy), of Fallon, Nev., Wayne (Anne), of Sierra Valley, Alan, of Loyalton, and Jim (Aleda), of Quincy.  He is also survived by uncles and aunts Lynn (Bonnie) White, Sharon (Richard) Elorza, Elna Hudson and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave attended Loyalton schools and graduated from Hug High in Reno. He enjoyed working fighting fires, logging and hauling chips, logs, equipment and dirt. Dave’s greatest joy in life was his son Roy, with whom he often rode quads and snowmobiles. Dave’s passions included anything Ford, tinkering with engines (especially McCulloch Kart chainsaws) and living life to its fullest. He also enjoyed stock car racing in Quincy in the 1980’s.  Dave was a larger-than-life personality who will be greatly missed by many. A celebration of his life will be held at the Loyalton Social Hall Saturday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up to benefit his son at Plumas Bank.
