(Columbia, KY. #KSPPost15) - CVE Officer Derek Cundiff is investigating a collision that occurred today at 9:10 AM EDT, 10 miles south of Campbellsville on KY 55. 83-year-old Donnell York, of Columbia, was operating a 2008 Chevy Impala. He was traveling north on KY 55, when an eyewitness stated that York pulled off the shoulder of the roadway and slumped over the steering wheel, briefly stopped before taking back off, crossed the center line and struck a guardrail before coming to final rest in the ditch line. The Kentucky Heritage Council is now accepting grant applications from Kentucky Certified Local Governments, for matching grants for historic preservation activities. Awards are made annually to qualifying projects submitted by participating citywide and county historic preservation commissions. In late 2013, the Heritage Council awarded nine grants totaling $80,000 for preservation-related projects in Bardstown, Bellevue, Campbellsville, Covington, Danville, Dawson Springs, Frankfort, Middlesboro and Shelbyville.
