A bill that would abolish ex officio seats for county commissioners on the Allegany and Garrett County boards of education passed the Senate by a 47-0 vote Wednesday morniing and is now set to come before Gov. Martin O'Malley for his signature. The bill originated in the House of Delegates and moved to the Senate after passage in the House.
