    how do I find a lawyer that handled a lawsuit between individuals that did not go to court?

    How was the lawsuit filed without going to court in the first place? Arbitrations aren't handled the same and have little court involvement. If either party is a government agency, their records should be open to the public under the freedom of information laws. If the case was dismissed either with prejudice” or “without prejudice" you can search court records and the attorney's names are on the caption of the case.

    Lawsuits are filed in court, sometimes they go to trial and other times they don't. Either way, the lawsuit in filed with the courts (which also means filed with the clerk of that court) and can be found looking up cases, and depending on where, they can be found online.
