Wild B Designs opens home décor store in Holliday
What started as a simple hobby of selling crafts from home has now grown into a brick and mortar business for one Holliday woman and her family.  Bambi Wortham, along with her husband Brad, and children Brianna, Bradley, Brooklyn, and Bentley, have opened Wild B Designs in Holliday.

City of Holliday Annual Dog Dip & Registration Day
The City of Holliday Annual Dog Dip & Registration Day will be held on Saturday, April 26th   from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at the City Barn located at 107 W. China.  Dog registration tags will be available for $3.00 per tag, and tick and flea dip for dogs will be provided at no charge.  Vaccinations will be available for both dogs and cats ranging in price from $10.00 - $12.00.  Vaccinations available for dogs will be Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Kennel Cough (Bordetella).  Vaccinations available for cats will be Rabies and Feline Distemper.  Deworming for both cats and dogs will also be available.  Angela Dwyer, DVM will provide veterinary services.   In accordance with the City of Holliday Code of Ordinances all dogs kept within the city limits must be registered and vaccinated for rabies annually.  We understand that the State now only requires rabies vaccinations every three years, but due to the high incidence on rabies in this area the City of Holliday will continue to require yearly rabies vaccinations.  If you have questions please call City Hall at 586-1313.

Select Holliday residents receive brand new homes
Last Friday four Holliday residents were presented the keys to their newly constructed homes in Holliday, Texas made possible by the City of Holliday Affordable Housing Program, and four more residents will receive their new homes soon.   All new homes are 1157 sq. ft. and were constructed on the original home sites; they all have 3 bedrooms, two baths.  Items not included are landscaping, fencing, garage and luxury items.  Professional services were rendered from the City staff, consultants and enlisted contractors.

Holliday ISD will be offering a summer school program for limited English proficient students who will be eligible for Kindergarten and First Grade at the beginning of next year. The program will be one-half day for eight weeks during the summer and must have an enrollment of ten or more limited English proficient qualifying students. Former Holliday Eagle star Chris Sadberry is now the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week! He's in his first season at Texas Tech, and Sunday he led the Red Raiders to a 2-1 win over Rice in the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park. It was Tech's first win over their in-state rival since 1996!
