Holliday upsets Bowie
The Lady Rabbits' district winning streak came to an abrupt end Friday as Holliday upset Bowie 6-0. Bowie had not lost a district game since April 20, 2012 prior to the loss and, entering the game, the Lady Rabbits had shut out every district opponent this year. Rabbits fall to Eagles
The Jackrabbits fell victim to the second-ranked Eagles Friday as Holliday defeated Bowie 10-0 in five innings. The Eagles got off to a big start, scoring five runs in the first inning. Bowie was able to shutout Holliday in the second inning, but the team added two runs in the third and three in the fourth to meet the 10-run limit. Bowie, Nocona one act plays take top district acting honors
Bowie and Nocona High School one act plays came home from district competition with the awards for best actor and actress, while Nocona will advance to area on April 10 in Graham. Nocona performed 'Boar's Head,' directed by Karla Murphey and Norman Waters. It advances to area with Holliday's 'Anatomies,' while Bowie's 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest,' was the alternate to area.
