  • Lathrop Police Services is investigating a theft that occurred the morning of May 23, 2013 at the Lathrop Target. A white male adult entered the Lathrop Target where he opened a box and stole the cell phone from the inside. The suspect paid for some other items and walked out of the store. Suspect left in a full size American made SUV possibly gray or tan. A photo of the suspect is attached.   • Lathrop Police Services is investigating a robbery that occurred Wednesday May 15, 2013 at approximately 2:20 AM. Two suspects are being sought, please see attached photo. Suspect one- A black male adult, approx. 25yrs old, 5’10, thin build, wearing a black hoodie, blue bandana covering his face, grey sweats, grey tennis shoes, and holding a gun. This suspect walks with a limp as if there is something wrong with his legs. Suspect two- Also a black male adult approx. 25 yrs, around 5’10 and thin build wearing a beige boonie hat, grey hoodie, black backpack with unknown white design on center and lower half, black pants with two stripes on the sides, black tennis shoes with white toes and white soles also carrying a gun.   • On April 22, 2013 a female suspect entered the Lathrop Target and headed to the vacuum cleaners. She grabbed a Dyson vacuum and went out the fire emergency exit door. She has also done this at the Target in Tracy. She left in a black vehicle, possibly a Prius. The suspect is a white female between 25-30 years old, 5' 4', 200 pounds, wearing a purple top and black pants.   • On April 10, 2013 at approximately 1:00 pm an unknown black male in his 20's wearing a red shirt, black pants and black shoes approximately 5'8'', with a slim build, and short hair attempted to take a gold necklace by approaching a female who was dropping her granddaughter off at Mossdale Elementary. The suspect grabbed the victim by the neck and pushed her to the ground, the victim fought the suspect off and the suspect ran southbound on Golden Spoke Trail. The incident occurred on the corner of Brookhurst/Golden Spike Trail. No Vehicle was seen in connection to this suspect.   • Ripon Police Department259 N. Wilma AvenueRipon, CA 95366(209) 599-2102 Ripon, CA - On 07/13/12, Officers from the Ripon Police Department responded to investigate an auto burglary that occurred at the bike bridge parking lot (600 Parallel Ave.) in Ripon. Upon arrival they observed the driver’s side window on a brand new Infiniti SUV had been shattered out. Officers were able to confirm with the vehicle’s owner that several items had been stolen out of the vehicle including a purse containing cash and several credit cards. Fingerprints and blood DNA of the suspect were collected at the scene and booked into evidence. A review of the city’s MESH camera system from the parking lot during the time frame of the crime revealed an African-American female adult looking into vehicles. The female suspect walks over to the SUV, and when nobody else is around, she wraps her hand in some type of cloth and punches out the window. The suspect reaches through the window into the vehicle, grabs something (purse), and flees from the scene. The collected fingerprints were submitted to the California Department of Justice Automated Latent Print System which returned a positive match on Valenica Marie Randel. Suspect- Randel, Valencia Marie DOB: 12/10/1981 5’6”/135 pounds Bro eyes/Bro hair African-American female adult Randel has an extensive criminal history for burglary and theft. Efforts to locate Randel have been unsuccessful. Based on information at hand, it appears she is a transient likely frequenting the Stockton area. Main St. regarding a robbery that had just occurred. The clerk was robbed at gunpoint. A customer was also threatened during the armed robbery. The victims did not sustain any physical injuries . Prior to the officers arrival, the suspect fled the area on foot, with a small amount of currency.   • 2 men rob Ripona Market at gunpoint Monday night RIPON - Two men - 18 to 20 years old - robbed the Ripona Market Monday night at gun point.  Ripon Police said the duo demanded cash from the clerk at about 10 p.m. and fled the store in the 200 block of Washington Street with money and merchandise.  The gunmen reportedly encountered two customers about to enter the store and took their wallets at gunpoint.  Lt. Ed Ormonde said the two men fled the area in a dark colored Honda after attempting to conceal their identities. The first suspect stood about 5-foot-6 inches and weighed an estimated 200 pounds. The second suspect was estimated to be 5-foot-8 inches and weighed about 175 pounds. Anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is asked to call detective sgt.   • Public Help Requested to Locate Murder Suspects Manteca Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating two suspects involved in the April 10, 2002 murder of Frank Alvarado a Manteca resident. Police detectives are asking if anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Enrique Gallardo and Gilberto Barajas that they contact the Manteca Police Department or South County Crime Stoppers at 209-823-4636. On April 10, 2002 at 10:30 pm, twenty one year old Frank Alvarado was walking back to his home from the Quick Stop located at Alameda and Main St., in Manteca. Mr. Alvarado lived behind the store and earlier had a verbal argument with Gallardo and Barajas. It appeared that once the argument was over the two suspects waited until Alvarado came walking out of the store and they then shot him repeatedly with a .22 caliber rifle. Mr. Alvarado was seriously wounded and died several days later at San Joaquin General Hospital. Police conducted the investigation and using witnesses information and by tracking the activities of Mr. Alvarado prior to the shooting developed Gallardo and Barajas as suspects. Several searches were conducted of homes in the Manteca areas for these two and they were not found. All leads developed had police believing that these two fled to Southern California or possibly to Mexico within several days of the shooting. The vehicle used in the shooting was found in a residential area in Los Angles where it had been abandoned for several weeks. Evidence found in this vehicle also assisted in confirming what police already new, that Gallardo and Barajas were the murder suspects.Police have developed some additional leads that cause them to believe that these two suspects on occasion return to the greater Manteca area. These suspects are associated with a document gang in San Joaquin County and that this gang could be concealing them when they return to the area.South County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward leading to the arrest of these two individuals. The police do consider them armed and dangerous and they should not be approached by anyone other then law enforcement. If you do call Crime Stoppers you do not have to give your name.
