It's easier to look up records of your self since much of the privacy laws will not be a factor. You can also see how easy it is to find information about yourself. To find records, many of them free, they will need to be found, or dug up. Another advantage you have over looking for records of another is that you know where to look and not have to rely on a list of past addresses. If you're looking to start with free records, which I recommended since you have little to lose other than time, try the free case search on this page (under Recent divorce records, court criminal actions, civil lawsuits and bankruptcy filings.) For other court filing, which are also free to the public depending on the area, the county court website offers free online open public searches. The Orange county clerk's webpage is a good example, all you need is a last name, I was able to view criminal cases from traffic to felonies. The results for this one are detailed showing offenses, hearings, notices, motions and more. If you find a case by using the court search below mentioned earlier, there is an option Recent divorce records, court criminal actions, civil lawsuits and bankruptcy filings. To receive updates when something new happens (filing, motions, notices etc...) with that case (this is also free). Good luck, if you're having any trouble finding specific records, you'll have to be more specific as to which record and where so that others can help.
