Spring Break Really Broke 041114
Spring break really broke out on Main Beach By MAGGI HENRIKSON Click on photo for a larger image   This Wednesday was a perfect summer day in spring – temperatures in the low 80s on Main Beach. Even the water was inviting as people from all over took to the surf. I was walking my dog, and that’s always a recipe for inviting conversation. My dog is so cute, who could resist?  Anyway, I took an informal survey of the people I encountered on Main Beach. I met 20 different groups of people visiting from these geographic points: Redondo Beach, Marina del Ray, Dayton (Ohio), Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga, La Habra, London (England), Indiana, Napa Valley, Redlands, Hagerstown (Maryland), Lake Forest (plus a troop of Girl Scouts from Lake Forest doing beach cleanup), Corona, Tustin, Washington (State), Austin (Texas), and China. Plus Noemi, Quillo, and Mami were here!  Click on photo for a larger image   A good day was enjoyed by all. Of course, it was only 61 with a day of mostly dense fog on Thursday!
